This is the one cream I make that we run out of, all the time. My husband and kids practically fight over it! At my house, this cream fixes nappy rash pretty well over-night. I slap it on at night before putting a nappy on, and it settles the rash right down. My 5 year old still gets rash or irritation on her bum sometimes - I use this cream and it fixes it, she asks for it herself now whenever she needs it. Hubby uses it for sweat rash & chafe.
Fill a small saucepan with water and bring it to the boil. While it's heating up, put a heat proof bowl (I like pyrex jugs) on top of the saucepan to create a double boiler. The water shouldn't touch the bottom of the bowl.
Add the beeswax to the bowl. Once it's nearly melted, add the cocoa butter. Once that's nearly melted, add the coconut oil. Heat through.
Once the ingredients are heated together, take the pan and bowl off the heat and add the calendula oil and the vitamin E and whisk well to combine.
Add the zinc powder and arrowroot powder and whisk well.
Once the cream has cooled to around 40C, add the essential oil and once again whisk really well.
Pour into jars and leave to cool
