Nutty Vanilla Smoothie Recipe – Almonds, Brazil Nuts, Wheatgerm

Ready for a super nutrient-dense snack, or breakfast that will keep you going for hours? Grab a Nutty Vanilla Smoothie! Over 17 grams of protein in a 300g serving; a great smoothie for pre- and post- Lotus Raw Wheatgermworkouts. Fairly high in calories at 495 Cal per 300g serving, but these aren’t empty calories – every single ingredients provides healthy nutrition and energy.

As usual, I like using Bonsoy soy milk in my smoothies. For me, this soy milk beats all others in taste, and I’ve pretty well tried them all. The only sweetness comes from the vanilla yoghurt; I love Jalna’s Sweet & Creamy. It’s natural, pot set yoghurt with all the probiotics, and has the best vanilla taste.

I only uLotus Organic Raw Almondsse raw almonds – you can find them in some supermarkets or online. I get mine from Aussie Health Products; Lotus Organic Raw Almonds. Lotus also Loving Earth Activated Brazil Nutsmanufactures wheat germ – you can sometimes find this at supermarkets, usually with the cereals like bran etc. (here at Woolies), but I usually order online with all my other supplies, as Aussie Health has a flat rate shipping offer of $8.95 for up to 5kg. They’re in Mudgeeraba, QLD, so orders arrive really quickly as I’m in Queensland too, yay!

Anyway, I’m a little hesitant of homebrand product in the supermarket – labelling regulations are sketchy and I prefer buying from honest companies that offer organic, raw, whole food.

The Brazil Nuts also come from Aussie Health – they are activated which greatly enhances nutrient availability.  Loving Earth is a great brand and Aussie Health Products provides awesome service and quick postage.
