10 Things You Can Freeze in an Ice Cube Tray – Save Food Waste | Biome

This is such a great idea, I had to share it with you. Tomato paste in particular. The giant jar is nearly the same price as the tiny tins, yet I often end up buying the small tins as the big jar never gets used in time. Enter the humble ice cube tray!

Simply freeze the left-over tomato paste in ready-to-use portions. Once frozen, remove them from the tray and freeze in a bag. No more small tins of paste for the same price as the giant jar. No more waste. Plus you get the use the glass jar for other projects. This works for pasta sauce and pizza sauce as well of course.

Biome’s stainless steel ice cube trays are perfect for this purpose and last a life time, but any ice cube tray will work. There’s another 9 great ideas (seriously, check it out) to freeze, save money and reduce waste in Biome’s article here: 10 Things You Can Freeze in an Ice Cube Tray – Save Food Waste | Biome
